For this assignment, For this project we were tasked with creating an artistic digital production using Microsoft MovieMaker or iMovie.
We were instructed to create a still image production that should embrace a theme as an instructional or informational video and be no longer than two minutes in length. The theme had to be consistent throughout the production, and the video needed to embrace techniques that give life to still images by using zooms, and pans through a series of still images that dissolve, fade, and wipe into one another.
After compiling our images we needed to synchronize our narration with the video and mix it with background music we needed to make sure to include the following elements : At least a dozen still images (high resolution images, each filling the entire screen) Panning, zooming, Ken Burns effect (camera movement) must be used for at least two images. At least two meaningfully integrated transition effects. At least two other video effects integrated into the production. At least two meaningfully integrated screen captions. A formal title and formal credits. And lastly, appropriately integrated background music and narration The digital production had to be rendered and the resulting .wmv (or .mov or .mp4) file uploaded to YouTube.
For my video I chose to share five time management techniques. I used iMovie for the production of the video and Inkscape for my thumbnail. I included two sets of background music and a narrated script. Transitional effects I used included the Ken-Burns zoom in/out effect, simple transitions, Blurs, and dissolves. I know I spoke quickly and I did so to keep the video under the required two minutes.
