My Ed Tech Journey

Let's say my first class in the Ed-Tech journey was a surprisingly pleasant experience. Foundations of Instructional Design was my first ever online class and the beginning of my love affair with Ed-Tech.

I chose the worse time in history to take a new job and move across the country to Gainesville. When I arrived, I decided it was time to return from my self-imposed college hiatus as it's been three years since I graduated from my masters program in Economics and Data Science. I felt rusty and scared at this new online learning approach to a PhD.

My fears disappeared when I logged into my first class online - Foundation to Instructional Design. It was too bad, actually I enjoyed the class because my professor was an instructional designer. She taught the class with so much depth and expertise. Let's say my first class in the Ed-Tech journey was a surprisingly pleasant experience.

The Designing Integrated Media Environments I class is my most project intensive class and I am happy with all the cool projects we created.

As I write this, I am getting ready to wrap-up my first year and with my program of study completed and approved including transferred credits, I am ready to take more classes, interact with my colleagues at the Virtual Lab and can't wait to see what the future holds. Till then, happy holidays and see you around.
